We are adding a new class to the schedule! Starting March 20th, we will be offering a sword class on Saturday afternoons immediately following kobudo.

We will be practicing iaijutsu, the self defense art of the samurai. The focus of iaijutsu is to draw the katana (sword) and cut down an opponent in one movement.

We will also be making time for our jodo practitioners to work out. Jodo is a Japanese stick fighting art designed to counter the sword.

This class is included in our karate memberships, so there is no additional charge for students. However, students will be required to purchase their own bokken (wooden practice sword) and, if desired, a jo (short staff).

Non-members who wish to train in sword only may contact Sensei Oliveri at to inquire about signup options.
